Our goal

The Nanotechnology Social Research Group (GRISON) is a multidisciplinary group of Spanish researchers in human and social sciences who are experts in science and technology studies, communications, ethics, risk analysis, public understanding of science and social participation. The main goal of GRISON is to study the social and environmental impacts of nanotechnologies. The current and foreseeable ethical risks and problems are worrisome and require proper understanding of the transfer process in order to be dealt with adequately and resolved. Social research must contribute to raising awareness and social participation in the decisions taken on nanotechnology trajectories.
